In this deeply reflective mash-up episode, Aisha revisits a powerful conversation about managing expectations when life, bodies, and systems intervene in unpredictable ways.

In this episode, Aisha is joined by Simone, a former doula, teacher, entrepreneur, and Single Mother by Choice, who shares her firsthand experience with a planned home birth that resulted in an unexpected cesarean. Together, they explore how disappointment, trauma, and resilience coexist in early parenthood—and why naming our experiences matters.
